B-Leaf benefit from generous Codi Group donation

B-Leaf has received a generous donation from Codi Group, funding the purchase of all-new electrical equipment. B-Leaf purchased an electric grass trimmer, electric blower, backpack harness and batteries, which will allow trainees to engage in more active outdoor work independently.

This all-new equipment is lightweight, removing physical barriers and the risk of overexertion or strain on the trainees. The quiet, smooth operation of these electric tools also created a calmer working environment for trainees who have sensory processing sensitivities.

By moving away from petrol-driven tools, B-Leaf is committing to Awen’s sustainability goal, and using equipment that emits zero-emissions, having a positive impact on the trainee’s health and the biodiversity of Bryngarw Country Park.

The equipment was purchased from Jenkins Machinery, who kindly donated an additional battery.
